Seller Description

Time to sell the coupe. I've been around here for a long time. The M Coupe was my dream car in High School and I have had one in the garage for the past 13 years. Started with a 2.8 coupe. I upgraded to this 1999 M Coupe 10 years ago. It was my unicorn: Black with red interior and rare sunroof delete.

It now has black powder coated roadstars, shaved M gills with red accent, rear wiper delete, H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. One of the best parts of this sale is that I also have stock black and chrome M gills and stock roadstars. Who ever buys the car can have their choice of either option. I still have the rear wiper hardware and motor so it can easily be converted back to stock.

115k miles on the odometer. Never been in an accident. Never had any kind of major repair. Just a metal impeller water pump, batteries, tires, and oil changes.

I would give it an honest 7/10 exterior. This was my daily driver for 5 years and the exterior is looking a little tired. It has a pretty good paint chip in the hood as pictured below. I would give the interior 8.5/10. No rips or tears, everything works well, but the leather could use a freshening up.

Mechanically the car drives great. The H&R/Bilstein combo is the perfect drop with just the right balance of tightness and comfort.

The only reason I am selling this is because as I have gotten older I have started to desire an older pickup restorod. I have lived in Texas my entire life and I have never owned a V8 or a pickup. I'm finally ready to take the plunge. If I had the space to keep the coupe I would never let it go. However, with my Highlander daily driver I just can't store 3 vehicles.

Therefore I am pricing this car fairly but maybe a bit on the aggressive side because I am not a very motivated seller. If it sells quickly, great! If I have to keep it another year or two (or twenty) I will somehow be okay with it. So if you're thinking "lowball time", just keep looking for your coupe because you won't be taking this one home.

However, if you have $20k laying around, it's yours. That's the price $20,000

I am more than happy to answer any questions. Easiest to get a hold of me by direct email.

Price reduced to $17,000 from $20,000. Great deal even with the newly noted issues. From the seller:

I had a BMW dealership PPI done for complete open honesty in selling the coupe. There are a few things that will need to be fixed to make this coupe perfect. It is 19 years old after all.

As it sits, the car drives and rides great. However, the report states that there is a power steering leak. The clutch will need to be replaced in the next 20k miles or so. The windshield wiper fluid squirter thing is dead.

Therefore I have lowered the price accordingly.

Awesome color combo and a sunroof-delete too. Having a long-time enthusiast owner is always a plus as well. The bonus roadstar wheels make this a pretty good deal in my eyes.
